No cases of infection this Monday
As the whole world is at the height of the battle with the wave of spread of the Delta variant, China brought the daily infections to zero this Monday.
Chinese health authorities said that no person tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, which could be considered another triumph for the Delta variant.
The success is all in the method of mass testing of the population of the cities where the first cases appear and the immediate isolation of the infected.
The Delta mutation swept through China in mid-July, after several Nanjing airport workers tested positive. Since March last year, daily infections have never exceeded 130 cases.
Thus, the daily infection numbers are stable in the United States and Europe. Although high, the death toll is also on the decline in Russia, after last week's absolute record of over 800 daily deaths.
