SPB Tetovo has filed criminal charges against several individuals and transport companies for fraud and making false statements. They are suspected of preparing invoices for the transport of students, even though their contracts with high schools had expired. In some cases, the suspects made false statements before a notary to obtain payment order decisions.
"SPB-Tetovo has filed a criminal complaint against MZ (46) from Tetovo and a legal entity, a transport company from Tetovo, due to the well-founded suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "fraud" and "making a false statement". During September and October 2024, the defendants, even though they knew that the contract for the transportation of regular students, concluded between them and a high school, had expired, without legal basis prepared invoices in the amount of 15.034.110 denars for both months and submitted them to the responsible services of the school, with the aim of making the payment. The defendants failed to deceive the responsible services of the school, after which they gave a false statement before the notary and submitted the invoices, requesting that the notary prepare a decision for a notarial payment order, which was approved by the notary".
"Also, SPB-Tetovo has filed a criminal complaint against QF (59) from the village of Shemshovë and a legal entity from the same village, on the well-founded suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "fraud" and "making a false statement". During September and October 2024, the defendants, even though they knew that the contract for the transportation of regular students connected to a high school in Tetovo had expired, on 10.06.2025, without legal basis, prepared invoices for the months of September and October 2024 in the total amount of 2.152.447 denars, and submitted them to the responsible school services, in order to deceive them and make the payment of the submitted invoices," the Ministry of Internal Affairs says.
