Juventus scored a 2-1 home victory over Roma in the 17th week of the Italian football elite.
The match was unlocked in the 44th minute, when Andrea Cambiaso provided a beautiful assist for Francisco Conceicao.
The Juventus striker showed determination inside the area and fired a shot into the bottom right corner for a 1-0 lead before the break.
Roma requested a penalty in the 31st minute, after Lorenzo Pellegrini was brought down in the area, but the referee continued play, prompting protests from the yellow players.
In the second half, Juventus doubled their lead in the 70th minute. Weston McKennie provided a precise pass to Lois Openda, who took advantage of the goalkeeper's exit and sent the ball into the empty net for 2-0.
Roma responded and managed to get back into the game in the 76th minute. After a ball was deflected into the box, Tommaso Baldanzi found himself in the right place and scored from close range, narrowing the score to 2-1.
Juventus came close to a third goal in the 80th minute, when Kenan Yildiz hit the right post after a powerful shot from inside the area, denying the Bianconeri the final closure of the match.
