The US president said that the US has an evacuation plan for Americans and Afghans

US President Joe Biden has pledged his unwavering commitment to get US citizens and allies out of danger in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

But the president said there could be many things that could go wrong, including the possibility of possible attacks.

In a briefing at the White House, Biden said that he had instructed the US State Department to contact Americans stranded in Afghanistan and that Washington has a plan to relocate them to the airport.

"We are implementing a plan to move groups of these Americans to safety and transfer them safely and effectively to the airport complex. For security reasons, I won't go into details, he said.

Biden also spoke of the chaotic scenes at the US-controlled Hamid Karzai International Airport, where babies and children have been passed over barbed wire fences to be handed over to US soldiers.

He admitted that these scenes are terrible. But while he emphasized that the evacuation of thousands of people from Kabul will be difficult and painful, he stated that this is part of the cost.

Meanwhile, the American vice president Kamala Harris also reacted to the situation in Afghanistan, where she said that the current priority of the US remains the evacuation of Americans and Afghans. Kamala said that there will be "sufficient time" later to analyze all the events that have happened in Afghanistan.
