Funds the "startup" of experiments on antiaging
Jeff Bezzos has declared war on aging. For more than a year, the American multibillionaire has been giving millions of dollars to scientific research to slow down the aging process in humans, still unable to prevent it finally and make the person immortal.
But the American media write that since the beginning of this year he has founded a startup, called Altos Lab, where the prevention of old age in animals is being experimented. The focus of the experiments is the gradual return of cells to their initial state, i.e. stem cells.
In this photo taken from the laboratory, two mice of the same age are shown, where the left has been subjected to experimental intervention and appears to be in a much better state of health than the right, which has been left in natural aging conditions.
Among the objectives, according to experts in the field of genetic engineering who work in this laboratory, is to slow down the involvement of organs by the diseases from which they are prone.
Within these months, this firm has collected over 270 million dollars in donations, with the intention of spending in the field of scientific research for the technology of cell reprogramming for turning back the biological clock of living things.
