Instagram makes the next change, adds captions

The discussion that has been going on for months has now become a fait accompli: Instagram has implemented the option of automatic captions in InstaStory. The new option is thought to help users to create more interactive content and will facilitate the use of the application for people who cannot hear.

Subtitles will work like stickers and translate voice to text, allowing users to read or listen. The option is similar to that of music in use, so it is not difficult.

How to put captions on InstaStory?

First, update the app and then try uploading a video. Go to the captions section, click "Captions", which is blue in color. As soon as you press it, the voice starts to be translated into text and after it's finished, you can customize it in the type of writing, size, colors. Also, you can correct errors that the automatic translator may have made during its process.

In what languages are subtitles available?

The automatic translator recognizes up to 90 languages, from which users can choose. To do this, click the "See translations" icon in the upper left corner of a story, and if another language appears, click on it and your translation will appear. This option is only available for those text posts, not yet for voice ones.

Are there captions for Instagram Reels?

Currently, subtitles work for Thread, Stories and IGTV (the latter translates up to 16 languages). However, in a press release, Instagram plans to test it on Reels soon.tvklan.al
