Hamza in Prizren: 50% salary increase for teachers, doctors, police officers, firefighters and soldiers..

The leader and candidate for prime minister of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, at the opening of the election campaign in Prizren, presented the four pillars of his program: economic development and welfare, education and health, justice, defense and foreign policy.

Vowing that the government led by him will work for everyone, Hamza has promised a 50 percent salary increase for all public officials,


"We believe in sustainable economic development, which leaves no citizen behind. Therefore, we will increase salaries and pensions. Salaries for teachers and educators, for doctors, police officers, firefighters, soldiers and for all those who are paid from the state budget will increase by up to 50%," he said.

Hamza has promised facilities for businesses, the creation of the Unemployment Fund, the establishment of the Labor Court, the construction of the National Olympic Stadium, a fund of 30 million euros per year for student scholarships, free medicines for the elderly and people with chronic diseases, and justice independent of politics.

"We will create the Kosovo National Guard, as an operational force according to NATO standards. Membership in NATO and the European Union is no alternative for me. We will deepen the partnership with NATO, we will work on the Partnership for Peace, we will resume the Strategic Dialogue with the US and we will aim for the Strategic Agreement with our main ally. We will also work on membership in the Council of Europe and obtaining candidate status in the EU," said Hamza, calling on citizens to vote for PDK with number 130 to move Kosovo forward together."
