Humanist and hoxha Halil Kastrati has undertaken a special humanitarian act by sheltering a lonely and abandoned elderly person in the municipality of Malisheva.
According to the announcement made by Kastrati on Facebook, the elderly man had been physically and emotionally devastated, cold, hungry and isolated, showing clear signs of fatigue and despair.
Within just 24 hours of the intervention, the elderly man was taken to a nursing home, where he received full treatment: he was washed, dressed, fed, and warmed, while receiving full support and respect.
"And above all, hope returned. The eyes that were dull yesterday, today they smile, the body that could barely stand yesterday, today walks with dignity," Kastrati wrote in the post.
This case shows the power of quick and dedicated humanitarian acts, changing not only the appearance but also the life of an abandoned person.
