The drone attack takes the life of the organizer of ISIS
The situation in Kabul continues to be disturbing and as it was warned earlier, the US has retaliated after the terrorist attacks that happened days ago.
The United States of America has carried out a drone attack in Afghanistan and killed an organizer for the Afghan branch of the Islamic State group.
The suspected member of the IS-K group has been targeted in Nangahar province, the BBC reports.
"Preliminary information indicates that we have killed the target. As far as we know, there are no civilian casualties", the US military said in a statement.
The American President, Joe Biden, after the attacks in Kabul, where 13 American soldiers and about 180 Afghan civilians lost their lives, vowed that the US would counterattack. "We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will follow up and you will pay this", Biden said after the attack. About 5,000 US troops are still at Kabul airport in a desperate attempt to evacuate more Afghan citizens.
IS-K, or Islamic State's Khorasan province, is the most extreme and violent of all the jihadist militant groups in Afghanistan.
