The Supreme Court of Kosovo has finalized the review of all administrative appeals filed against the decisions of the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) during the 2025 Local Elections process.
According to the announcement, a total of 42 complaints were handled by mayoral candidates, municipal assembly candidates, political entities, and citizens with the right to vote. Of these, 7 complaints were accepted as well-founded, 32 were rejected as unfounded, and 2 complaints were rejected as inadmissible.
The final decision in this process was taken today, in the case filed by the candidate for assemblyman in the municipality of Istog, Avni Gashi from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK). With judgment AA.nr.126/2025, the Supreme Court rejected this appeal as unfounded.
Due to the similar nature of the cases, two complaints – AA.nr.116/2025 and AA.nr.117/2025 – have been merged and dealt with through a single decision, under the sign AA.nr.116/2025. This has resulted in the final number of decisions being 42 out of 43 complaints initially received.
The Supreme Court emphasized that all decisions were made within the legal deadlines and that the fair application of the law and equal treatment of all complainants in this electoral process were guaranteed.
The decisions have been published on the official website of the Supreme Court. /Telegraph/
