Meanwhile, more and more clubs are making it clear that Alonso will have alternatives if he decides to leave Real Madrid at some point.
It is currently believed that his position is in jeopardy and he could be sacked if 'Los Blancos' fail to beat Sevilla this weekend.
Other reports suggest he will continue to be in charge of the team until the Spanish Super Cup, at which point club officials will review his situation.
The Basque coach was highly sought after during his time at Bayer Leverkusen and, despite the difficulties at the 'Santiago Bernabeu', it seems his reputation has not suffered a significant decline.
One of the clubs that still highly values him is Manchester City.
If Pep Guardiola decides to leave at the end of the season, according to Indykaila, Alonso will be one of the options to replace him.
He has no bigger supporter than Guardiola himself, who worked with Alonso at Bayern Munich.
