UK morning show reporter Sussana Reid has debated Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen over retaliation against US and other Western allies.
In the "Good Morning Britain" show, the journalist challenged the claims of Suhail Shaheen who said that there will be no revenge against the American collaborators.
But Sussana Reid cited a UN report suggesting the Taliban have a list of names of individuals across Afghanistan that they threaten to arrest and kill.
"A spokesman for the former government was killed by the Taliban a few weeks ago. It has also been confirmed that the Taliban also killed two senior police officials. Isn't this revenge against those people who cooperated with the government or with the Western forces", asked the journalist.
But the Taliban spokesman rejected these accusations, saying that their policy is non-retaliation.
"We have given general amnesty to all those who worked with foreign forces. And there is no list of what appears in the media"He said.
Suhail Shaheen also asserted that the Taliban will not stop Afghans who want to leave the country, but still urged them to stay in Afghanistan to rebuild the nation. /tvklan.al
