
Speaker of Parliament Afrim Gashi signed today a collective agreement with the unions of five public universities in the country, marking an important step towards improving working conditions and strengthening quality in higher education.
Agreements were signed with the "Goce Delchev" University - Shtip, the University of Tetovo, the "St. Kliment Ohrid" University - Bitola, the "Mother Teresa" University - Skopje and the "St. Paul the Apostle" University - Ohrid.
With this act, all public universities in the country will have collective agreements, establishing a common framework for higher educational standards, a more competitive system, and fairer evaluation of the work of academic staff.
Gashi described the signing as a historic moment that demonstrates the institutional commitment to building a more sustainable and equitable higher education, while congratulating the universities, academic staff and students on this shared success.
