
A newborn baby in Peja has tested positive for coronavirus. The news was announced by the head nurse of this hospital, Hidajete Krasniqi, who also provided details about the baby's health.
Based on the latest data, Krasniqi said that the situation with COVID-19 has eased, while the good news is that the number of victims has decreased, since there was only one loss of life as a result of the pandemic, until days ago, there was a number disturbing the victims.
"At the moment, there are 212 patients being treated for coronavirus, of which 188 are on oxygen therapy. There are 169 positive cases, 12 were negative, while 29 are expected to be tested", said Krasniqi. Recently, there has been a significant increase in the infection of children with COVID-19, which has also affected the region of Peja. According to head nurse Krasniqi, there are many infected children, but they are getting over this infection easily.
"We received a baby, who together with the pregnant mother were infected and after the check-up they were released at home, as they are in a mild condition", Krasniqi told Radio1. "There was also a case when a pregnant mother, infected with COVID-19, gave birth to a child who tested positive for coronavirus. But that both the mother and the child are in good health," she declared.
