Former MP and founder of the creative company "Karrota", Fisnik Ismaili, was recently invited to the "Shok Podcast" moderated by Fis Juniku, former resident of Big Brother VIP Kosova 1.
In an open and unfiltered conversation, Ismaili shared for the first time in-depth details about the difficult financial period he had gone through during and after his political engagement.
During the interview, he revealed that entering politics as a deputy for the Vetëvendosje Movement – and then switching to the Social Democratic Party – had not only not brought him benefits, but had instead caused him huge economic losses.
"I can freely say that I am the only Albanian politician who came in with all the money and left without it when I left politics. They all take it, I was in the red — minus half a million. Half a million minus when I left politics," he confessed, emphasizing that the period of political engagement had taken him away from his main business.
Ismaili said that "Karrota", the company he has been known for for years, was neglected during his time in the Assembly. This caused a slowdown in its functioning, including internal abuses, which, according to him, deepened the crisis.
"I had left Karrota behind. Karrota didn't work, some items were misused there. I took out a loan to open a fitness center, not knowing that Karrota wasn't performing as it should. I found myself in deep debt," he said, adding that returning to reality after leaving politics was painful.
He admitted that he had gone through moments of despair, finding himself alone in the face of financial difficulties and unexpected circumstances.
"I was in a very bad moment," Ismaili admitted, adding that despite the difficulties, he has managed to gradually recover through work and dedication. /Telegraph/
