Biblical Exodus from Afghanistan

After the end of the evacuations, Afghans flock to Pakistan and Iran

It looks like a biblical exodus. There are tens of thousands of Afghans who have flocked to the southern region of Nimruz, where the border triangle between Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran is located. They have found this point to leave the country, after the deadline for evacuations from the United States and Western allies. It is a flow that sounds like an alarm bell for Europe, for the repetition of the mass flows of 2015-2016, after the terrorists of the Islamic State established their Caliphate in the territories of Syria and Iraq.

In his speech, after the end of the withdrawal of the Americans, President Joe Biden said that there are about 200 American citizens in Afghanistan, for whom there is an agreement with the Taliban to leave when they want. He said 123 people, the vast majority Afghan collaborators and refugees, were evacuated through Kabul airport. According to estimates, there are hundreds of thousands of other Afghans who do not want to remain under the Taliban regime.

As the new rulers are expected to announce this week, the new Islamic Emirate, the United Nations called on the Taliban to allow the departure of those who want to flee Afghanistan.
