Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola praised midfielder Rayan Cherki's performance in the match against Brentford in the quarterfinals of the English League Cup (2-0).
The French footballer opened the scoring in the 32nd minute of the match with a shot into the top corner from outside the 16-meter area.
His good performance against Brentford, but also his consistency, have led Guardiola to praise Cherkin, describing him as a fantastic player.
"He is an extraordinary player near the opponent's penalty area," Guardiola initially said after the match.
"It was a fantastic goal, and even a blind man or woman can understand that he is a fantastic player; you don't have to be a journalist or a coach to see that."
"I've seen Phil Foden score goals like that many times, and Kevin De Bruyne has done it before, so I'm happy the result opened up in that way," the City manager concluded. /Telegraph/
