A serious event was recorded today in Kosovo. A 3-week-old baby died as a result of infection with COVID-19. The news was confirmed for Express by the director of the Neonatology Clinic, Hajrie Ismaili.
She said that the baby was born on August 13 in Ferizaj and that on August 28 he was admitted to the clinic in a serious state of health. "The baby has been with COVID. She was born on August 13 in Ferizaj and was admitted to the Clinic on August 29. She arrived in serious condition. From the first moment, it has been in serious condition with all the efforts we have", she added.
The baby was receiving treatment at the Neonatology Clinic, but due to the virus infection, she died last night. The baby is said to have been in serious health condition from the beginning, and was then put on mechanical ventilation. She was infected with the virus by her family members.
