A report published in the media shows that the person suspected of murdering the 18-year-old from Ferizaj, Dardan Krivaqa, was released twice prematurely.
This decision was taken by the directors of Gjilan prison and Dubrava prison.
KALLXO.com has obtained a report from the Ministry of Justice that shows that in 2012 Krivaqa was released from prison three months early by the decision of the director of this center.
A similar action took place in 2017 where Krivaqa was released three months ahead of time by the decision of the director of Dubrava Prison. The information was also confirmed by the Ministry of Justice, which manages the Kosovo Correctional Service.
"The person in question was admitted to the prison in Gjilan on 21.10.2012, where he was sentenced to two years and five months for the criminal offense of aggravated theft and possession of a weapon without a permit", says the response of the Ministry of Justice.
"After the appeal to the Supreme Court, his sentence was reduced to two years. Also, according to Article 127 of the old Law on the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, he received three months of early release and was released on 17.08.2012 by the Gjilan Penitentiary," says the response of the Ministry of Justice.
The ministry says that Krivaqa was imprisoned again a few months later and sent to the center of Dubrava.
"The same, according to Article 127 of the old Law on the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, on 28.04.2017, he was released by the Dubravë CC three months earlier with Early Release," says the response of the Ministry of Justice.
Dardan Krivaqa allegedly killed the 18-year-old girl from Ferizaj under mysterious circumstances.
He had numerous criminal records, while his file has been published by the court, where it is said that there were at least 10 court proceedings.
Dardan Krivaqa had been on the run for two days, until he was captured by the Kosovo Police near the village of Sojevë in Ferizaj.
