Thanks to vaccination, Covid-19 is no longer a "critical disease for society"
From this Friday, life in Denmark returns to normal. Restrictions are lifted for about 6 million citizens of the country as the vast majority of adults have already been vaccinated and the government no longer considers COVID-19 a "critical disease for society".
The figures show that 96% of the elderly over 60 years old have been vaccinated and this, according to local experts, is also the most endangered category that fills hospitals, a situation that is expected to be avoided in the future.
73% of the entire population has been vaccinated with both doses, while the percentage is even greater among the age groups included in the vaccination lists. That vaccination has been successful in controlling new infections is also evident in hospitalizations, which are very low compared to increased infections due to the Delta variant.
