
The acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, has reacted after the passing of the famous Albanian singer, Shemsi Krasniqi - Shemit, describing his loss as sad news for Albanian culture and art.
In his reaction, Çeku emphasized that as the vocalist of the legendary band "Ilirët", Shemi became an important voice of Albanian musical identity and an inseparable figure of collective memory.
He underlined that the artist left behind a rich creativity and a legacy that will live long in our culture.
The minister highlighted the iconic song "Xhamadani vija-vija", emphasizing that under Shemi's interpretation it became a hit for all Albanians and remains today a symbol of unity and national identity.
"Shemi was a special cultural personality and an artist much loved by the public," said Çeku.
At the end of the reaction, the acting Minister of Culture expressed his condolences to Krasniqi's family, to the artistic community and to all those who loved and appreciated his art, concluding the message with the words: "May the memory of Shemi's life and work be eternal." /Telegraph/
