The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, said that Great Britain will cooperate with the Taliban if necessary.
Johnson also defended Foreign Secretary Dominic Rabb, who has been criticized for his handling of the situation in Afghanistan, and said he "absolutely" trusted him.
"What I want to convince people of is that our political and diplomatic efforts to find a solution for Afghanistan, if necessary with the Taliban, will continue." Johnson told the media.
The British government said it had evacuated 1,615 people since last Saturday and the prime minister also said the situation at Kabul airport had "improved".
The Taliban have taken control of the Afghan state for a week after a one-year period of leadership of this country by Western countries.
