Shkëndija is finishing preparations for tomorrow's challenge against Slovan Bratislava, a match that takes place within the framework of the fifth round of the UEFA Conference League. The Red and Blacks held their last training session, while the duel will be played on Thursday at the "Todor Proeski" arena starting at 18:45, reports Telegrafi.
Coach Jeton Beqiri expressed optimism before the match, emphasizing that Shkëndija still has a real chance of aiming for qualification.
"I think this is the penultimate opportunity to stay in the competition among the 24 teams that continue on. The opponent is very qualitative, last year they also played in the Champions League groups, but in Skopje we always have positive performances. I hope we express ourselves in the best way and I believe we have all the chances to get a result that keeps us in the game until the last match."
Beqiri added that despite the lack of luck in the last two matches, the team remains fully within its objectives.
"The team has given much more than it has received. But what matters is that we are still in the competition and that Shkëndija, in mid-December, continues to play in Europe. We will do our best to ensure positive results in these two remaining matches."
Captain Besart Ibraimi also shared the same enthusiasm before the challenge."We have written history this year and we are all satisfied, but we should not stop here. Tomorrow we must give our maximum to win the match and why not, to qualify further. The fact that all the teams are on break, while we play in Europe, affects, but gives us even more motivation. In the last two matches, luck was not with us, but I believe that with a little more luck tomorrow we can get the result we want."
Shkëndija aims for the big triumph to keep the European dream alive in a historic season for the club. /Telegraph/
