"The announced arrival of Afghans in Kosovo represents a serious threat to the security of Serbs and Serbia", declared the former head of the Information Service, Tomislav Đurin, Serbian media write.
Đurin, a retired colonel, explained that the Afghans who will go to Kosovo are capable people with combat experience, and states that there is a possibility of their permanent stay in Kosovo, since the United States can cancel visas for the arrival of them in the United States.
He told Serbian media that especially the religious fanaticism of Afghans, regardless of whose side they were on during the previous 20 years of conflict, should be taken into account.
He declared that their arrival changes not only the ethnic picture in Kosovo, but also the religious one, and that the Islamic factor will be strengthened.
Also, he believes, it should be known that the American intelligence services have verified the collaborators among them, in order to open another channel of flow of interesting intelligence data from that area and beyond.
"The United States is looking at these people with disappointment, because according to US President Joseph Biden, they did not want to fight for their country with all the American aid and military support. Who needs such human materials? They are looking for a way to get rid of them. It seems that they have unfortunately found it in our region", said Đurin.
