Activist Source Qarri has warned of the great danger that the recent floods are creating for the lives of citizens.
According to him, the situation is a consequence of the destruction of rivers and uncontrolled construction in recent years.
"Rivers always find their way, water cannot be stopped. But our cities are built on these natural waterways, and as a result, every investment and tax of citizens is being destroyed," Qarri told the Telegraph.
He emphasizes that the lack of adequate plans and political exploitation of the situation are exacerbating the problem.
"If we don't organize and intervene in a planned manner, the consequences are irreparable, not only here in Kosovo, but also in the region," he said.
Qarri appeals for emergency measures, professional intervention, and long-term planning for river management and safe construction, warning that "if we love the country, we must work for it, otherwise the water will take everything."
