995 patients infected with coronavirus are lying in the hospitals of Kosovo. According to the announcement of the Clinical and University Hospital Service of Kosovo, 37 of them are in serious health condition, while 935 are being treated with oxygen therapy.
The University Clinical Center of Kosovo has the largest number of patients with coronavirus: 359, while the one in Prizren leads the regional hospitals with 143 patients. Kosovo, in recent weeks, has seen a sharp increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus.
Data from the previous day show that the current number of active cases is 23,845. Only in the first three days of this week, 44 people have lost their lives from the coronavirus in Kosovo. Until August 25, 250,626 citizens of Kosovo have been vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine against the coronavirus, while in total over 747,000 vaccines have been given.
