America remembers the event that took the lives of 3 thousand people

This fixed minute of silence at 8:46 a.m. when the first plane hit the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York 20 years ago marked the start of memorial ceremonies to honor the nearly 3 victims of the terrorist attack.

Present at the place where the twin towers once stood were American President Joe Biden, as well as his democratic predecessors Barak Obama and Bill Clinton. Then the ceremonies continued with the reading of all the names of the victims

This anniversary of the 11/XNUMX attacks is the first that finds the United States outside of Afghanistan. Therefore, through a video, President Joe Biden has called for unity, as according to him it is the greatest strength that America has.

"No matter how much time has passed, these commemorations bring everything back as painfully as if we just got the news seconds ago. But we learned that unity is the one thing that should never be forgotten."

While former President George W Bush appeared at the ceremonies held in Shanksville where the passengers shot down one of the hijacked planes. He remembered it as the day American life was changed forever.

“The cause you followed in the call of duty is the noblest America has to offer. Nothing that has followed, nothing, has tarnished your honor.”

20 years ago, a terrorist group of Al Qaeda took hostage 4 planes hitting some important American points like the twin towers and the Pentagon. Images of planes crashing into the Twin Towers, the desperation of people trapped in the building rang alarm bells around the world.

These attacks are the deadliest on American soil. The United States then invaded Afghanistan and killed Osama Bin Laden, but the aftermath of that day changed the entire course of history.
